'SECOND AMENDMENT' TAX-FREE WEEKEND INTRODUCED IN LOUISIANA . . . Louisiana State Sen. Robert Marionneaux Jr. (D-17) has introduced legislation (SB 52) seeking to establish an Annual Second Amendment Holiday Weekend. If SB 52 were to become law, during the first Friday through Sunday in September of each year, state and local sales taxes on consumer purchases of firearms, ammunition and hunting supplies will be exempted.
